Chat Line Prices Explained

Chat lines are prepaid, not subscription. This guide lays out the exact package tables used by our Network Lines, shows how to work out the real per-minute cost, explains how the membership ID and PIN work and flags the charges you should never see.

The model: free trial, then prepaid minutes

Every line in our directory follows the same model. New callers get a free trial, published per line (30 minutes on most, 60 on a few). After that, callers buy a package — a block of minutes purchased once and used across as many calls as they like until it runs out. There is no monthly fee, no contract and nothing renews on its own. On the mainstream singles lines women chat free with no limit and never see a package offer.

General line packages

Our Network Lines in the singles, Black, Latino and adult categories publish these packages: $5.49 for 10 minutes (about $0.55/min), $10.99 for 25 minutes (about $0.44/min), $21.99 for 75 minutes (about $0.29/min), $32.99 for 125 minutes (about $0.26/min) and $54.99 for 225 minutes (about $0.24/min). The per-minute rate falls by more than half between the smallest and largest block.

Gay line packages

Gay lines use a separate table: $16.49 for 30 minutes (about $0.55/min), $32.99 for 105 minutes (about $0.31/min), $49.49 for 215 minutes (about $0.23/min), $87.99 for 425 minutes (about $0.21/min) and $219.99 for 1,130 minutes (about $0.19/min). The entry price is higher but the large blocks are the cheapest per-minute rates in the directory.

Third-party comparison lines (Livelinks, Vibeline, GuySpy Voice, FonoChat and others) set their own prices and state them on their recordings; the tables above apply to our Network Lines.

Membership ID and PIN

When you buy a package the system issues a membership ID and PIN. Your minutes are attached to that membership, not to the phone you bought them from, so you can log in from any phone, check your remaining balance and add more time. Keep the ID and PIN somewhere private; anyone with both can use your minutes.

Charges you should not see

A legitimate chat line does not bill your phone account, add premium-rate charges or start a subscription without an explicit purchase. Toll-free numbers are free to dial; local-format numbers are ordinary domestic calls on your carrier's plan. If you see a recurring charge you did not authorise, contact the provider and your card issuer. Our billing and cancellation guide covers the steps.

Frequently asked questions

Is there a monthly subscription?

No. Chat lines in our directory sell prepaid minute packages. You buy a block, use it at your own pace, and top up only if you choose to.

What is the cheapest way to try a line after the trial?

The smallest package — $5.49 for 10 minutes on general Network Lines, $16.49 for 30 minutes on gay Network Lines. It carries the highest per-minute rate but the lowest commitment.

Do minutes expire?

Our Network Lines describe purchased minutes as yours until used. Some third-party providers apply expiry periods; check their terms.

Will the call itself cost anything?

Toll-free numbers cost nothing to dial. Local-format numbers are billed by your carrier as a normal domestic call, which is included on almost every current plan.

Editorial disclosure: Chat Line Network operates its own family of chat lines (marked "Network Line") and lists well-known third-party lines for comparison. We never accept payment for rankings. Phone numbers, free-trial lengths and package prices are taken from each provider's published offer and re-checked periodically, but providers can change them at any time; the offer you hear on the recording when you call is always the final word. All lines are for adults 18+.
