The basic rule
A free trial is offered to a caller the first time they call a given line from a given phone number. Every line in our directory publishes one — commonly 30 minutes, 60 on a few, and "free to try" without a stated length on MegaMates — and none requires a credit card to start. Callers must be 18 or older. The trial is a one-time offer per line.
How the line knows you are new
By caller ID. The platform checks the number you are calling from against its records; if it has not seen it before, you are a new caller and the trial is credited. This is why calling with your number blocked often results in no trial — the line cannot tell who you are — and why a shared or recycled number may already be marked as used.
Reasons a trial is not offered
If the recording skips straight to package pricing, one of these is usually why:
- You have called this line before from this number, even briefly.
- Your caller ID is blocked or withheld.
- You are calling from a shared, business or recycled number that has been used on the line.
- You are calling from outside the US, and the line's offer is US-only.
- The provider has changed or paused its offer — the recording is always the final word.
Trying more than one line
Trials are per line. Calling a singles line and then a Black or gay line gives you a fresh trial on each, because each is a separate service. Lines that share a platform may recognise your number across sister lines, so a second trial within the same family is not guaranteed. Calling the same line from a different number to get a second trial is against most providers' terms.
Women's free access is not a trial
On the mainstream singles, Black and Latino lines women chat free with no time limit. That is a standing policy, not a trial, so there is nothing to qualify for and nothing that runs out. Gay lines are men-only and apply trials to all callers.
After the trial
When the trial balance is used, the line offers prepaid packages; on our general Network Lines they start at $5.49 for 10 minutes and on gay Network Lines at $16.49 for 30. You can decline and hang up; nothing is charged unless you buy. If you liked the room, the smallest package is the low-commitment way to continue.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need a credit card for the free trial?
No. The trial is credited to your phone number when you call. A card is only involved if you later buy a package.
Why was I not offered a free trial?
Most often because the number you called from has been used on that line before, or your caller ID was blocked. Call from a personal phone with caller ID on.
Can I get a free trial on every line?
Each line offers its own trial to new callers. Sister lines on one platform may recognise you; unrelated lines will not.
Is there an age requirement?
Yes. Every line is for adults 18 or older, and the recording states this.
